All About Scott

Scott Miller is an award-winning filmmaker and the founder of Scott Miller & Company, a Los Angeles–based production boutique established in 1989. Over the past three decades, the company has earned a reputation as one of the last great creative television commercial production houses in the U.S., known for its artistry, precision, and storytelling excellence.

Specializing in campaigns that launch new concepts and elevate corporate brands, Scott brings the same level of dedication to every project — from large-scale productions to smaller collaborations built on a shared commitment to excellence. His work has attracted global recognition, with his company billing over one hundred million dollars worldwide.

Named by Eastman Kodak as one of the world’s 100 finest cinematographers, Scott has been featured in Kodak’s international advertising campaigns celebrating his creativity and innovation with film. His industry accolades include an Oscar qualification in 2003 in the Documentary category.

A fifth-generation Angeleno, Scott comes from a family whose contributions to entertainment and innovation stretch back over a century. His great-great-grandfather was Houdini’s mechanical engineer, his great-grandfather Los Angeles’s first radio announcer, and his grandfather represented Hollywood legends such as Marilyn Monroe and Lana Turner. His father, Warren Miller, became synonymous with ski filmmaking over a fifty-year career.

Carrying that legacy forward, Scott continues to craft cinematic stories that blend timeless craftsmanship with modern vision — films defined by authenticity, emotion, and an unwavering pursuit of excellence.

For Scott, filmmaking is more than a career — it’s a continuation of a family tradition rooted in creativity, curiosity, and courage. Every project is an opportunity to tell a story that connects, inspires, and leaves a lasting mark on both the screen and the audience.
